FTC and States Take Action Against Toast Over Hidden Fees

On October 29, the Federal Trade Commission and a group of states filed a complaint against Toast, alleging hidden fees, charges for add-ons customers never agreed to, and a cancellation process that can be costly and difficult. These are allegations, and the court will decide the case, but it’s a good reminder to read your processing agreement closely and know exactly what you’re paying for.
